Triumph Motorcycles has just opened (yesterday) its new £4 million Triumph visitor experience and factory tour.

The new facility at the Triumph Motorcycles HQ and factory site in Hinckley, Leicestershire will enable fans to get up close to the most iconic and rare Triumph motorbikes in the world, including:

• Legendary Triumph movie bikes, from Steve McQueen’s original Great Escape movie bike, not seen since filming completed in 1962, to Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 2 Speed Triple
• Rare original models from the brand’s 115 year history
• Priceless racing and land speed Triumphs, including the original 1956 Bonneville salt flats record smashing streamliner
• Iconic motorcycle memorabilia, dealer signage and racing ephemera

It will also offer guided tours of Triumph’s unique engineering and manufacturing process and facilities, led by experts including members of the manufacturing teams. Triumph Motorcycles has run factory tours in the past but the opening of the new visitor centre now puts the tours on a more organised footing and brings them into the overall experience. That said, the visitor centre is free, while the pre-bookable 90 minute factory tours cost £15.

First established in 1902, Triumph now builds around 67,000 bikes per year, making it Britain’s largest motorcycle manufacturer with over 700 dealers across the world.
