Aerial cable car proposal for Chicago

The designers of the London Eye and Brighton i360 are involved in a spectacular new project for Chicago.

The Chicago Skyline project – a new aerial cable car tourist attraction – was launched earlier this month by local businessmen, Lou Raizin and Laurence Geller, with plans from Davis Brody Bond and Marks Barfield Architects, the company behind the successful London & Brighton tourism icons.

If it goes ahead the Chicago Skyline cable car might carry up to 3,000 people per hour through the heart of the ‘Windy city’ along the Chicago River linking up Navy Pier, the Chicago Lakefront, the Chicago River Riverwalk, and downtown Chicago.
